How people in pain choose a physiotherapist
By the problem, not by the word “physiotherapy”. Searches are made of symptoms and places — “physio back pain Lugano”, “knee rehab Chiasso”, “osteopath neck pain” — and the practice that wins is the one that names those problems, explains how it treats them and says when there’s a free slot.
Many patients arrive with a prescription in hand and a list of names to call. Out of those, they choose the one whose website explains what happens at the first session, whether a prescription is needed, what insurance covers and how long a course lasts. Whoever answers these questions first gets the call.
The same goes for athletes: they look for someone who knows their sport. A line on who you work with — runners, footballers, skiers — is worth more than ten generic words about wellbeing.
What to put on a physiotherapy practice’s website
The site comes with the sections of a practice — treatments, opening hours, appointments — and with the sober tone the profession calls for.
- The problems you treat Back, neck, shoulder, knee, rehabilitation after surgery, sport. Written the way a patient would put it, not like a medical report.
- Techniques Manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, lymphatic drainage, shockwave therapy, dry needling: each with a line explaining what it’s for.
- Initial assessment and courses How the first session works, how many sessions are usually needed, what to bring. It takes the worry away for anyone who’s never seen a physiotherapist.
- Prescriptions and reimbursement When a doctor’s prescription is needed and what insurance covers, in a few clear lines. It’s the question that comes up most often on the phone.
- Who you’ll see The therapists, their training, the languages they speak, what each one specialises in.
- Hours and contact When you see patients, the call button and a precise map showing parking.
Three templates for physiotherapists
All twenty-eight templates are available, and none costs more. These three are the most natural starting points: you can switch template later without losing your text.
- Slancio Optical white and electric blue: clean, energetic, with a page that moves under your fingers.
- Sospeso Lots of empty space and few objects: the calm practice, in no hurry.
- Giardino Soft greens and gentle shapes, for practitioners who focus on wellbeing more than sport.
Show up for the problems, not just the profession
The title your site presents to Google already starts from name, profession and town. But for a physiotherapy practice the most valuable searches are the ones with a symptom in them: every problem you describe in a line is one more search you can appear for, and it’s made by someone who needs help now.
Do these once:
- a section listing the problems you treat, each by its everyday name — “stiff neck”, “sciatica”, “sprain”;
- the website linked to the practice’s Google Business Profile, with the right opening hours;
- the information on prescriptions and reimbursement written so that a patient understands it first time.
Patients, sessions and courses in a single diary
The website is free on its own. The management software for practices keeps the session diary, patients with their billing details, services with their duration and courses — ten physiotherapy sessions make a course, and that’s what they’re called there — plus documents and takings. It isn’t a clinical records system, and doesn’t claim to be.
A fourteen-day trial, then the Basic plan.
How it works, trade by trade: management software for your business.

Frequently asked questions
Can I explain the techniques I use?
Yes: every treatment has its own title and text, and the FAQ is there for longer explanations. Write them for someone who doesn’t know what manual therapy is.
Can patients book their first session from the website?
The website brings in the contact with one tap: call, WhatsApp or email. You set the session yourself, in the diary you use or in the management software.
Does it work for osteopaths, chiropractors and massage therapists?
Yes. When you sign up, choose “Physiotherapist” and the site comes with a practice’s vocabulary; you write your exact profession into the name and the text.
I work at two different practices. How do I show that?
With two addresses in the contact section and the hours for each. If the two practices have different names and you want a site for each, the first is free and the others go through the Pro plan.
Does it look good on a phone?
Yes: the sections rearrange themselves on a small screen, and the practice’s number is a thumb-tap away.
The first step towards the right patient
Five minutes to publish it; add the problems you treat one at a time, and that’s where the searches will come from.
