Website for medical practices
A new patient wants to know three things: whether you do what they need, when you see patients and how to get to you. The practice website says so soberly, without promises or superlatives. It takes five minutes to create and it’s free.

What a patient looks for before calling a practice
Practical information, first and foremost. People looking for a doctor, a psychologist or a nutritionist want to know whether you’re taking new patients, what services you offer, when they can come, whether there’s parking or a lift, and how to book the first appointment. A site that says this clearly takes half the calls off the practice phone.
For anyone working in healthcare there’s an extra constraint, and it’s good news: communication must be truthful and restrained. Professional codes of conduct, in Switzerland as in Italy, rule out promises of results, comparisons with colleagues and an advertising tone. A site made of information — who sees patients, what they do, where, when — is exactly what those rules ask for, and it’s also what patients are looking for.
For a psychologist or therapist, tone matters too. People often come at a difficult moment, and they decide partly on how a page is written: simple sentences, a real photo, the first session explained step by step.
What to put on a medical practice website
The site comes with the right sections for a practice — treatments, hours, appointments — and without the ones that don’t belong here: no gallery of “work”, for example.
- Who you’ll see Name, title, specialism, where they trained, which languages they speak. It’s the first thing a patient checks, and often the only one.
- Treatments Consultations, tests, therapies, certificates: with an approximate duration and, if your profession allows it, your fees or the health insurers you work with.
- The practice Address, floor, lift, wheelchair access, parking, public transport. When you’re unwell, getting there has to be easy.
- Hours and emergencies When you see patients, when to phone, what to do out of hours. A line about emergencies saves calls to a closed practice.
- The first appointment What to bring, how long it takes, how it works. For a psychologist: what the first session is like and what it costs.
- Contact Phone, email and a precise map. The call button always in view on mobile.
Three templates for medical practices
All twenty-eight templates are available, and none costs more. These three are the most natural starting points: you can switch template later without losing your text.
- Sospeso Plenty of empty space and a few floating elements: the calm of a well-kept waiting room.
- Atelier White, a thin rule, the content and nothing else. As restrained as it should be.
- Gazzetta Two columns and serif headings, like a magazine: for those who have a lot to explain and want to do it in an orderly way.
What patients search for, and how to answer
“Psychologist Lugano”, “nutritionist Bellinzona”, “GP taking new patients Locarno”: health searches are almost always local, and often contain a question. A LyamFlow site starts with a title that includes the practice name, the category and the town; the rest is done by the answers you write.
Three tips that work and stay within the rules:
- describe your services in patients’ words, alongside the technical ones;
- link the site to the practice’s Google Business Profile, with opening hours and phone number always up to date;
- check with your professional body or association what you can publish: fees, titles and reviews have different rules from one profession to the next.
The practice diary, not a medical records system
The site on its own is free. LyamFlow’s management software for practices is a diary with the patient list, services with their duration, courses of sessions, documents and takings. We’ll say it plainly: it is not a medical records system and it doesn’t replace certified healthcare software — it’s what a small practice keeps today somewhere between a paper diary and a folder of PDFs.
A fourteen-day trial, then the Basic plan.
How it works, trade by trade: management software for your business.

Frequently asked questions
Can I publish my fees?
Technically, yes: every service has its own price field, which you can also leave empty. Whether to do so depends on the rules of your profession and your canton or region, which are worth checking first.
Does the site collect patient data?
No. The site is an information page: anyone who contacts you does so by phone, email or WhatsApp, just as they would from your business card. No health data passes through the site.
Does it also work for psychologists, nutritionists and speech therapists?
Yes: when you sign up, choose “Medical practice” and the site comes with the words of a practice. Your speciality goes in the name and the text.
The practice is shared with other colleagues. One site or several?
One site for the practice, with a section for each practitioner, is usually the best choice: Google sees it as a single place, and patients find everyone in the same spot.
How much does it cost?
Nothing, for the site. Your own domain costs CHF 9 a month plus registration; the management software with the diary, CHF 29.90 a month after the trial.
The right information, where patients look for it
Five minutes to put it online. Then every phone call that starts with “I just wanted to know if…” already has its answer.
